Your data stays where it belongs: at home.
Scam protection should not create a new risk. These are the principles we hold — without vague wording.
1. Our approach
Kin-Guard is based on the principle of data minimization. Our goal is to detect scam attempts in real time, without retaining the entirety of the conversations. We only collect what is strictly necessary for the operation of the service.
2. GDPR
If an unknown caller's conversation is analyzed or recorded, their consent is collected from the start of the call. The assistant introduces himself, explains his role and informs the caller that the conversation may be subject to automated analysis. This process is a legal requirement and a non-negotiable principle.
3. Accommodation
Our goal is to host your data in France or the European Union. This commitment will be confirmed and clarified before the commercial launch, depending on the technical service providers selected (voice processing, artificial intelligence, infrastructure). We only use the term “guaranteed” when we can fully endorse it.
4. What we don't do
No automatic public publication of a number accused of scam. No sharing of your calls or data with any third party for commercial purposes. No permanent human listening: detection is entirely automated. We do not sell any personal data.
5. The private base of signals
When a scam attempt is detected, its characteristic signals can strengthen the protection of other users. Identified phone numbers and scenarios remain internal to Kin-Guard — they are never published or shared with third parties.
6. The trusted contact
You freely choose your trusted contact. You can modify or revoke it at any time, from your personal space. This contact can only view events that concern you — they do not have access to all of your telephone activity.
7. Security
The data exchanged is encrypted in transit. Access to systems is subject to strict control. Retention periods are minimal and configurable. We apply a least privilege policy: each component of the system only accesses the data it needs to function.
8. Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete and portability of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@kin-guard.com. We respond within legal deadlines (30 days maximum). In the event of disagreement, you can contact the CNIL.
These commitments will be supplemented by a complete confidentiality policy drawn up with a lawyer before the commercial launch. Cautious wording (“objective”, “target”) will be replaced by firm commitments as technical service providers are confirmed.
